Puerto Rico

Ready to ride! We are getting all geared up to take the zipline through the Puerto Rican canopy!

Kyle, showing his zipping skills!

High atop one of the platforms.

Everything is bigger in the jungle! Can you tell the size of this centipede! Wow!

Sisters! We stopped at a little shop for souvenirs, a spectacular view and some refreshing coconut water, fresh from a chopped young coconut! My fav!!

Waterfalls!

We found several stunning waterfalls along our drive through the rainforest. This one was my favorite. The height was astounding and the angle was beautiful with many little riverlets of water running across the black stone. With the sun catching the water just right, it was lit up like shimmering diamonds.

I was excited to get so close to an iguana in the wild! I expected it to run off, but I just kept scooting closer and closer. Cute little green guy!

If pallet wood suites your palette, then head to Puerto Rico for some fantastic pallet-wood grilled BBQ! The BBQ joints all use pallet wood to cook over - crazy! I'll pass on the pallet wood, thank you!

We love this place!

Oh yeah! We got our use out of our annual US National Park's Pass in Puerto Rico!

This lawn was absolutely gorgeous! It was acres and acres of manicured lawn with grand,
old stone structures dotting the landscape.

My hot Baby!

Craft Store fun

This is the kind of thing that Kyle does for fun when we go to the craft store together. He cracks me up!!

Zion's and Kendra's Ironman

In May, our friend, Kendra Gofredo, raced in the Ironman in St. George and invited us to watch and cheer her on. We stopped in Zion's National Park on the way to her race and hiked Angel's Landing. It was harrowing and had gorgeous views from the top!

At the top of our hike

Looking out over Zion's

After the hike I waded into the stream. It was cold but refreshing!

It was a beautiful day in Zion's!

We made it in time to watch Kendra run the last few miles of her marathon. These athletes are remarkable! So tough!!

Here she comes!

Coming into the finish line!

Here we are after her race. What a treat to see her compete!

First 2012 Climb

There may still be snow on the ground, but it's warm enough to climb! Yippee!! Jake belays Kyle on the inagural climb of the 2012 season in Utah. We love to climb and we especially love to climb with friends - like our dear friends, the Heaps!

Jake's first lead climb! So awesome!!

Karen climbs...with lots of smiles!

I love to climb! And nothing beats climbing with my best friend as my belay.

Another great day in the great outdoors!

Happy V-Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, Sweetheart! We love to celebrate our love for each other every day of the year, not just on this holiday! We ate at 2 different restaurants this night, as I was hungry for one thing and Kyle wanted another. It was fun. :)
